Camp Diary
During camp we all kept a diary. I hope you enjoy reading about the fun things I did at Kokako Lodge. My favourite day was Day 3. Can you work out why?
Assembly certificate
Today at assembly I got an certificate for improving in reading. Because at reading I changed from the color wheel to the advanced books that are very hard to read because there are difficult words in the story that I got.

The Bowman
The Bowmen
As I picked up my arrow and bow I placed my arrow on the holder and the end under the knot. I remembered the two F’s. I put one of my feet diagonal and one straight.
When I tugged my arrow against my face my index finger went above the knot and my middle finger and ring finger went under.
I let go while my eyes were closed. When I opened them I saw the arrow was not going as quick as I had thought it would and it was going crooked. I had really hoped the arrow was going to get the bulls eye.
The arrow was not supposedly going to hit the target so I just put my bow down in disappointment and then I heard a pop. I turned around and was surprised the balloon had popped. I thought it was skill but Zane thought it was luck.
Today I had to write about camp. I wrote about archery because it was one of my favourite things at camp.

Why people in Auckland have been asked to conserve water:
People in Auckland have been asked to conserve water because the water supply in Auckland was put under pressure after all the heavy rain. By sharing this DLO Christopher, Joshua and I are using our learning from Inquiry to help other people understand why it is important to listen carefully to the messages from Watercare and think about ways they can save water.

Compare and contrast
Today at tech we are starting to finish our plans so we can star printing. We have drew two pictures of your client's favorite things so I decided to do history. It put history into a ruby because those were some of the things he liked. We also made a dlo that shows the differences and similarity. And we had a example of a orange and a banana. Apparently a bunch of bananas is called a herd of bananas.

Unique Blog explanation
As strange as it might seem a blog is a website where people across the world share their learning and thoughts. Did you know that every blog looks different? Everyone’s blog is unique at our school because you can earn badges that show your achievement.
My blog is unique because my blog tells you what I have been learning at school. So far I have been blogging for 3 Years! My blog keeps growing and I now have 283 blog posts. Did you know that my blog has been viewed 9,659 times from the many places around the world (my global audience )? If you don't have a blog then it will be impossible for you to have such a large audience because the only person you can share your work with is your teacher.
My blog is also special because I get feedback and feed forward about my work. That means people are sharing their opinions and telling me what they liked and what I could change in a positive way. You can’t do that if you don't have a blog because no one can share their opinions, only your teacher and classmates.
Did you know that you can go back to see what you have been doing the last couple of years and see what work you have done? You can compare your work to see how it has changed over time. You can’t do that if your work is in a book because you might not still have your old books.
My blog is individual because it is a record of my learning since I was in year 4.The best part is that you can throw your books away but you can’t throw your blog away.
BLURBThis week Mrs Anderson’s reading group has been writing an explanation. I learnt how to properly write a explanation and how it is ordered. The things I already knew about an explanation, is that it is a type of writing and that it is needs to be in past tense order. I still need to work on making sure that my writing makes sense in the future and that I have used the correct spelling.

Tech design
Today at tech we used a website called Tinker cad. We signed up and started on a tutorial. Tinker cad is a 3d object making system. We had to record our selves doing a step to show what we did.We were making a key chain name tag. Some steps where very complicated for example the tag had to look like a pool with a big whole in the middle.

Yey the story is called my name is davy lowston.
|
When some people were left at a island trying to catch crabs but the boat never came back.
|
I have played ships with my brother and the objective was to let people on the boat go and mine there gold while the other person had to destroy the ship they could not get back
|
Today I have read a story called my name is Davy Lowston. This story is a real story and also a fake story because the author of this book tried to write what he thought was the point of view and the story is true because it really happened. The story is based around a people that was killing seals to get there skining and the ship never came back.
